Download the Serve AI app from your device's app store:
Create Your Account
Open the app and tap "Create Account". You'll need:
- Your restaurant name
- Email address
- Phone number (for SMS alerts)
- Create a secure password
Verify Your Account
Check your email for a verification code and enter it in the app to activate your account.
Adding Integration Credentials
Navigate to Settings → Integrations in the app, then tap on the integration you want to connect:
Required credentials:
- Restaurant GUID
- API Access Token
- Location ID
Required credentials:
- Restaurant ID
- Client ID
- Client Secret
Required credentials:
- Company ID
- OAuth Token
- Refresh Token
Required credentials:
- Company ID
- API Key
- Location ID
Security Tip
Never share your API credentials via email or messaging apps. Always enter them directly in the Serve AI app.
iOS Setup
- When prompted, tap "Allow Notifications"
- Go to Settings → Notifications → Serve AI
- Enable "Allow Notifications"
- Turn on "Lock Screen", "Notification Center", and "Banners"
- Set Alert Style to "Persistent" for important alerts
Android Setup
- Tap "Allow" when prompted for notifications
- Go to Settings → Apps → Serve AI → Notifications
- Enable "Show notifications"
- Set notification importance to "High" or "Urgent"
- Enable "Pop on screen" for immediate alerts
After enabling notifications, test they're working properly:
Navigate to Settings → Alert Preferences to customize which alerts you receive:

Expanding Alerts
When you receive an alert on your lock screen:
- Press and hold the notification (iOS) or swipe down (Android)
- View expanded details including:
- Full context of the issue
- Affected staff members
- Time and transaction details
- Suggested action items
- Tap "View Details" to open the full alert in the app
When you open an alert in the app, you'll see:

Context & Factors:
- Staff on duty: Sarah M. (Server), John D. (Cashier)
- Shift change: Occurred at 3:00 PM

Recommended Actions:
- Verify cash drawer immediately
- Review transaction logs for voids
- Speak with staff members involved
- Check security footage if needed
Not Receiving Alerts
If you're not receiving alerts, check:
- Push notifications are enabled in your device settings
- You're logged into the app
- Your alert preferences are configured
- Your device has an internet connection
- The app has permission to run in the background
Integration Connection Failed
If your integrations aren't connecting:
- Verify your API credentials are correct
- Check with your IT team for any IP restrictions
- Ensure your integration subscription is active
- Try removing and re-adding the integration
